iFarm Ag Group April Update

Tariffs:

USA: US Farmers will likely be getting farm support payments from the Fed if needed. Candadian Farmers - crickets from Ottawa.

the list at the moment:

China: EV vs Canola Oil and Meal. No appetite by politicians to deal with this. Do any of them know what's going on West of the ON/MB Border?

China will continue to buy our raw seed for their expanding crush capacity though - Chart is from March 2025 with up to 2024 levels. Oil imports aren't a lot but the meal is significant.

Seeding / Fertilizer Pricing: Corn acres USA - over 95 million acres. 5% up. Will put pressure on Fertilizer system as all acres pretty much come out of beans. Why? most profitable.

N Fertilizer Pricing as and FYI

China as an N exporter -> 10% exports compared to historical numbers-> 500,000MT vs over 5,000,000MT to grow more crop at home -> will impact some global supplies:

Canadian Seeding forecast @ March 12:

This will likely be adjusted due to Canola tariff / prices and Pea tariff (particularly China with the Peas). Still a fair bit of flex acres getting sorted out (more than normal) as profit optimization / cost mitigation are front and centre for many.

Be mindful of chem residue / rotation as well as crop rotation.

Market Update:

Branded companies have had a pretty good run until recent times. Excess inventory from about 3 years ago caught up with them. With prices declining, some were caught with high priced inventory, a bit of a decline in demand and increased competition from the post-patent market:

Farmers are voting with their check books as quality Post Patent Products expand their market shares:

There is also a shift of focus as the North American market becomes more competitive  and opportunities for more margin and acres evolve elsewhere-> particularly South America:

This slide is from just ahead of the US election but the comments about Trump hold true:

Key takeaways: Pricing is at historical lows and there frankly isn't much more room to play with on the bottom end without cutting back on some ingredients to save cash at the factory level.

Feedback from the farms I have done deals with has been solid.

A common comment I'm getting is: "Yep, you're in the market".

With you, I'd like the opportunity to provide a complementary quotation.

Selling competitively priced high quality products keeps the lights on and I appreciate a shot at a portion of your business.

We have put together key per-crop packages and have excellent agronomic support and product mixes to come up with the right solution for most situations.

Burnoff:

iFarm Ag Group has 16 Burnoff different Burnoff Products available. The doubled up actives mean we have more than 1 supplier available. We are out of our generic Conquer® as Bayer® went and bought all existing bromoxynil in the market. Same goes with in-crop products with Bromoxynil in it. They did that a few years ago as well. Having said that, for pulse and canola acres we have competitively priced Carfentrazone that, when tank mixed with 0.667 L/acre Glyphosate, cleans things up very well. We only recommend the full rate of Carfentrazone (around 30ml/acre).

Cereal In Crop:

iFarm Ag Group has different suppliers and SKU sizes available and 17 actives between Graminicide and Broadleaf products. As noted above, the Bromoxynil components aren't available but we can cover most bases. Suggested acres/sku - follow the label. If you're not dialled in yet, give us a shot at a quote if you're into it.

Canola and Pulses:

iFarm Ag Group has several suppliers. This year, one popular product is the new Glufosinate 280 active (roughly 1400 ac/tote). Saves time loading. Low foaming. Less product to haul around. Why not try a tote or two?

Bugs and Fungicides:

iFarm Ag Group has a strong representation of these products. We will be competitive. Perhaps consider having a few cases in the barn as a CYA if you're in a zone where it's appropriate.

Desiccant:

Yes, we have Diquat and what you need to put with it:

Have safe start to spring.

Best,
